About Us

The Connecticut Organization of Neonatal Nurses (CONN) is a group of neonatal professionals interested in promoting education, networking, and community service.  Our history started in 1978, when the Connecticut Neonatal Nurses Association formed.

In 1984, the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) was founded and, in 1988, the Connecticut Association of Neonatal Nurses (CANN) became a charter member of NANN.  CANN separated from NANN in 2001 and formed a non-profit organization named CONN.

Our organization includes four subcommittees:  Program, Membership, Newsletter and Community Service.  The Program Committee develops continuing education programs for members and non-members.  The Membership Committee maintains the database of our members.  The Newsletter Committee keeps us up-to-date with neonatal nursing news around the state.  The Community Service Committee supports the March of Dimes and holds a food drive annually.
